Kishtwar: 5 ReTs teach 250 students at Kwath High School, 9 posts vacant

Kishtwar, July 31: People of Kwath area falling under Inderwal Zone of Kishtwar District called for Immediate end to step motherly treatment with their 250 children studying in High School Kwath run by 5 ReT teachers while 9 posts including that off Headmaster, 5 Master Grade and three posts of teachers are lying vacant.
The local residents of Kwath area told Early Times shows concern that has been affecting the education and future of their children.
They said that being as remote & far flung area, the Government High School Kwath is only institution responsible for nurturing young minds, is facing a severe shortage of teaching staff, and the community demands urgent attention from the authorities.
They said that the situation at Government High School Kwath is pathetic due to non posting of staff in the school against vacant post added that it is surprising that ReT teacher is acting as Headmaster of the school in absence of proper posting of Headmaster in the school.
“This severe lack of teaching personnel has adversely impacted the education of over 250 students enrolled at the school. The students are deprived of quality education, and their academic progress is hindered due to the unavailability of qualified instructors” the locals rued added that the concerned citizens of Kwath area have patiently and persistently raised their grievances before the concern authorities, seeking prompt solutions to this crisis. However, their appeals have seemingly fallen on to deaf ears, and no concrete actions had been taken to address the burning issue.
“In light of this neglect and the detrimental impact on the education of the young learners, the community now feels compelled to escalate their protest. If the authorities fail to address their legitimate concerns and rectify the staff shortage promptly” the locals said while threatening protest in case the government fail to added the issue.
The people warn that they will have no choice but to resort to more aggressive measures including protest so that authorities could get attention towards the genuine problem faced by the students studying in the neglected school.
“The education of our youth is the foundation of a prosperous and thriving society. Denying students their right to quality education is not only unjustifiable, but also hinders progress and development.”the locals rued.
The people of Kwath area implore on the concerned authorities to take immediate action by filling the vacant teaching positions, and appoint a competent headmaster to lead the school effectively.
“We urge the authorities including Director School Education Jammu, DC Kishtwar & CEO Kishtwar to address this matter with the utmost urgency and prioritize the educational needs of the students in Kwath area. Failure to act now will only deepen the wounds of this already neglected area, leaving a lasting negative impact on the young minds and the community’s overall development” the people make desperate appeal.
The people remain hopeful that their pleas will be heard, and appropriate actions will be taken swiftly to resolve this crisis and provide their children with the quality education— they rightfully deserve.
