DC inaugurates Waqf Car Parking

DODA, Aug 6: Deputy Commissioner of Doda, Vishesh Mahajan, inaugurated a new Waqaf Car Parking facility at Sadiqabad Doda today. The initiative, undertaken under the supervision of Administrator Waqaf Board Unit Doda, Zakir Hussain Wani, aims to alleviate the growing traffic congestion in the town.
The inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of President Muncipal Council Doda Ved Prakash Gupta, Administrator Waqf Board unit Doda, and Executive Officer MC Doda.
During the event, DC Doda unveiled the inaugural stone of the waqaf car parking. DC commended the efforts of the Waqaf Unit Doda in utilizing previously unused land for the Car Parking facility in the town. This new facility will provide secure parking for around 40 vehicles. DC Doda took the opportunity to encourage local residents to maintain the cleanliness of the area, aligning with the vision of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Addressing the concerns of the local community, DC Doda listened to the issues raised by the residents of Sadiq Abad Doda upon his arrival. In response, he allocated 3 lakhs for the construction of a footpath in the mohalla.
Additionally, Administrator Jammu and Kashmir Waqf Board unit Doda, Zakir Hussain Wani, shared promising plans for the area. These include the establishment of a children’s park and small shops to support underprivileged locals. Notably, the Waqaf Board possesses approximately 42 kanals of land in the Sadiqabad area, holding potential for various public-friendly welfare initiatives.
