| GDC Mahanpur organizes plantation drive | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 11: GDC Mahanpur organized plantation drive in continuation of events, under the campaign " Meri Mati Mera Desh" on 11-08-2023. The drive was organized by NSS Unit and Eco Club of the College under the Guidance of Principal of the College Dr. Sangeeta Sudan. The focus of the programme was to increase green cover of the campus. Almost 50 samples / species of native plants species were planted by the NSS volunteers & Eco club Dr. Sangeeta Sudan while speaking on the occasion awarded students about the importance of vegetation cover and biodiversity . She motivated the students to plant more and more trees in the villages and to protect the already planted samples / species till proper growth.
Large number of students take part in the plantation drive, Staff members present during the plantation drive were Dr. Balbinder Singh, Prof. Arvind Kumar (Convener Eco-Club), Prof. Meena Devi (PO NSS ) , Dr. Sapna Devi and Dr. Parshotam Dass, Sh. Saurabh Dutta along with Non teaching staff . |
