Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 11: Amid reports that Pakistan-based terror mentors have assigned the task to the terrorists to strike in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, intelligence agencies are keeping a strict vigil on the activities of some suspicious media persons who are directly or indirectly propagating secessionism.
Highly placed sources said that security agencies have already alerted that some anti-national elements under the guise of media persons are trying to create disturbance in the Union Territory of J&K, especially in Jammu province ahead of the Independence Day so sleuths of intelligence agencies have kept some “journalists” under the radar as these “media persons were earlier found involved in anti-national activities by creating communal tension in this part of the UT.
Highly placed sources said that intelligence agencies have already alerted the civil administration after the arrested of the dreaded Lashkar-e-Toiba Altaf Hussain Shah alias “Talib Hussain” who was actively associated with the BJP.
Talib Hussain gained access to the BJP office while he was posing as a journalist.
Talib Hussain and his associate Faizal Ahmad Dar used to reach the BJP office pretending to be journalists. They would attend press conferences as reporters inside BJP offices and even at political rallies.
According to reports, Talib Hussain was the mastermind of a series of blasts in Jammu province Two AK assault rifles, a pistol, seven grenades, and a large quantity of ammunition were recovered from them. Earlier in December 2022 Rayees Ahmad Bhat, a former journalist and self-styled “editor-in-chief” of an online news portal was killed in an encounter with security forces.
