Early Times Report

Jammu, Aug 11: With no end to stalemate in Bharatiya Janta Party’s Kashmir leadership, a top BJP leader from Delhi is all set to visit the valley.
Sources said one of the senior party leaders would visit Kashmir in the coming two to three days to resolve the issue amid rumors that “some of the leaders were looking ahead to resign due to a dispute.”
Sources said even as some of the top leaders of the BJP had tried to resolve the issues among the “old guards and a coterie of new Chamchas”, the senior leaders from Kashmir “declined to accept any solution without assurance.”
Sources said the senior leaders of the party conveyed it to their higher ups that indiscipline as created by a “coterie of new Chamchas” was against the party image and that such indiscipline was not acceptable.”
Sources said a senior leader from Jammu, who had rushed to Kashmir to solve the issue couldn’t get desired results from the talks as the “two groups declined to come face to face for a photo ops.”
Sources said the leader from Jammu held around half a dozen meetings in Kashmir but couldn’t come to a “tangible solution.”
“One of the groups wanted assurance or that they would speak to the national leadership,” said a source.
Sources said the leader who was sent to Kashmir has conveyed it to the national leadership that their intervention was a must to end to “favoritism being enjoyed by the new chamchas, who mostly include turncoats and want personal benefits from the BJP.”
“It’s for the party to decide that do we need sycophants or we need loyalists who stood with us through the thick and thin of times,” the leader from Jammu was heard has having said.
Sources said a senior leader from Kashmir was supporting the “Chamchas for some vested interests and that complaints in this regard with details have reached the national leadership.”
The BJP has been telling media that there were no issues in the party leadership in Kashmir and that “everything is normal.”
