Tiranga Rallies, other events witness overwhelming participation across social spectrum

JAMMU, Aug 11: Reflecting widespread festive mood, Jammu division witnessed massive public participation in variety of activities organised as part of nationwide Meri Maati Mere Desh Campaign launched towards the end of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav- the 75 week grand celebration to commemorate 75 years of India's independence and the glorious history of her people.
At Udhampur: District Administration Udhampur organized a mega Tiranga rally as part of Nationwide Meri Mera Desh campaign launched under the aegis of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" here Boys.
Deputy Commissioner, Sachin Kumar Vaishya along with SSP, Dr Vinod Kumar flagged off and participated in Tiranga rally from Government Degree College comprising more than 2000 children from different schools of the district, Officers/officials of government departments, Police, Paramilitary and Civil defense personnel, Ex-Servicemen, , members of Beopar Mandal and Civil Society, besides elected public representatives. The rally passed through Dak Bunglow, MH Chowk, Matadoor stand, Gole market, Ramnagar Chowk, Court road, Slathia chowk, Barrian and finally culminated at Martyrs Chowk Domail.

At Ramban: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Sharma flagged off a Tiranga Rally from Government Model Higher Secondary, Ramban comprising nearly one thousand students of the different schools.
CEO Ramban, Devadand, ZEO, Firdous Ahmed, Principal Kewal Sharma, staff attended the programme.
A "Panch Pran" pledge - the five life forces was also administered to the participants, embodying their commitment to uphold the nation's values.

Meanwhile, Government Higher Secondary School, Batote, organized a Parbhat Feri besides various events under the Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign in which locals, students and staff of schools participated.
At Rajouri: In a remarkable display of commitment to environmental conservation and national pride, Deputy Commissioner of Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, led the 'Meri Maati Mera Desh' initiative by hoisting the national flag and plantation drive in the premises of the Tehsildar's office.
At Reasi: District Administration Reasi organized a Heritage walk and promotional Rally on JJM, Nasha Mukt Bharat, Anaemia Mukt and TB Mukt Bharat from District Administrative Complex to Bhimgarh Fort, which was flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Reasi Babila Rakwal under the ongoing campaign "Meri Maati Mera Desh".
Students from different educational institutions from across Reasi Town took part in the rally holding colorful banners and placards in their hands with messages against substance abuse. They raised slogans against the social evil and pledged to join their hands to eradicate this menace from society.
Later, a cycle rally was flagged off by District Programme Officer, Mohd. Anwar Banday in the presence of District Panchayat Officer, CMO and Tehsildar Reasi. The rally started from the District Administrative Complex and culminated at Bhimgarh Fort via Reasi town. Refreshments were distributed among students.
The event aimed to reinforce the bond between the community and the nation, while also fostering a greener and healthier environment.
