| GDC Ukhral organizes Painting Competition on Drug Abuse | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 23: GDC Ukhral under the aegis of "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" (AKAM) organizes a painting competition to bring awareness about the hazards of Drug Abuse unto our youth and masses. The program was held in collaboration with Excise Department Ramban in the premises of GDC Ukhral. The program commenced by the principal Dr. Shallu Samyal's message that the Drug Abuse with all its fatal effects has to be eradicated from our society. Yitender of Excise Department also limilighted the disastrous effects of this menace. Some Twenty students belongings to different Semesters participated in the competition in presence of the faculty and the students. In the forty minutes competition all the participants displayed their skills while highlighting the message of saving the generation from the disaster. Dr. Shafiq Ahmed Katoch (HoD Urdu) and Prof. Suresh Chander (HoD Dogri) were the two judges for the day. Miss Rizwana Javid Katoch, Sweety Devi and Sabia Banoo were declared as first, second and third prize winners respectively.
The program was coordinated by Prof. Iftikhar Hussain Lone, Convener Sports while the proceeds were done by Akash Verma. |
