District Admin hosts Weekly Block Diwas to address public grievances

DODA, Aug 23: The District Administration Doda, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner, Vishesh Mahajan, is making consistent efforts to meet the expectations of the people and address their grievances effectively.
In this regard, regular Block Diwas programs are being organized in different parts of the district, particularly in remote areas, as per the directives of the LG administration.
This week Block Diwas meetings were held at Block Headquarters Bhaderwah, Sub District Bhaderwah, Panchayat Thaloran, Block Changa, Sub Division Gandoh, Block Headquarters Assar, Sub Division Assar and Panchayat Ghar Panthaan in Tehsil Bhella, Sub Division Thathri.
The initiatives aimed to assess public issues and grievances in a bid to facilitate their resolution by the district administration.
During these events, officers actively engaged with the local community and listened to their grievances and demands. Many issues were resolved on the spot by the respective line departments present at the scene. Additionally, certain issues were earmarked for prompt resolution, emphasizing the administration's commitment to expeditiously addressing public concerns.
In Bhaderwah, Tehsildar, Umar Jahanzeb and Naib Tehsildar ensured earnest resolution of public issues and provision of essential services in response to the citizens' concerns.
Similarly, at Panchayat Ghar Panthaan in Tehsil Bhella, Tehsildar Parvaiz Ahmed Butt oversaw the proceedings, focusing on issues related to power, water, school infrastructure, road connectivity, and healthcare.
In another instance, the Block Diwas program at Block Headquarters Assar was presided over by SDM Lekh Raj, who listened to the public issues and directed concerned officers and officials to resolve raised issues and grievances right on the spot.
Furthermore, the public outreach program at Panchayat Thaloran, Block Changa, Sub-Division Gandoh,was presided over by the local Teshildar and resolved various issues in real-time.
These Block Diwas programs underscores the district administration's dedication to engage with the public and provide swift solutions to their concerns, ultimately fostering improved governance and community satisfaction.
