POONCH, Aug 23: To ensure smooth and secure pilgrimage experience for the devotees during the ongoing Shri Buddha Amarnath ji Yatra, Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yasin M. Choudhary inspected the arrangements at Sports Stadium here today.
During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the availability of different amenities and directed the Yatra Officer to ensure that all necessary arrangements are put in place for the facilitation of yatris. He also interacted with the yatris and took feedback about the arrangements made by the administration.
The Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need for making adequate provision of essential services for the pilgrims like availability of safe drinking water, uninterrupted power supply, adequate medical facilities, clean toilets, proper sanitation facilities, comfortable lodging, well-organized community kitchens (langer facilities), as well as efficient traffic management and enhanced security arrangements.
Shri Buddha Amarnath Ji Yatra started on August 18, 2023, and will conclude on August 27, 2023. The procession of the holy mace, Chhari Mubarak, a significant event during the pilgrimage, will take place on August 28, 2023, starting from Shri Dashnami Akhara Poonch and culminating at Shri Budha Amarnath Mandir Mandi. |
