BIS JKBO grants first license in Kupwara district in Kashmir region

Jammu, Sept 3: BIS Jammu and Kashmir Branch Office has granted first license of Kupwara district in Kashmir region to M/s Zi Foods and Beverages, Kalaroose, Kupwara for Packaged Drinking water as per IS 14543:2016. BIS had extensively carried out Sensitisation programs for various districts of Kashmir region. As a result, many queries had come for grant of BIS certification.
Subsequently, M/s Zi foods and Beverages applied for BIS certification and were granted this license. Sh Ishfaq Ahmad Mir and Sh. Abdul Ahad Mir from the firm were honoured by granting a copy of BIS license.
They lauded the initiatives of BIS for reaching at the doorsteps of manufacturers and guiding them.
BIS has started a quality revolution by creating awareness programs and making Standards Clubs in schools and colleges so as to reach every household in the country.
By granting this license in Kupwara, BIS has added another feather in the cap.
BIS is continuing this endeavour of reaching far flung areas in the region so as to make every manufacturer a part of BIS family.
