Early Times Report
JAMMU, Sept 26: Union Minister of State for Industries and Commerce, Som Prakash, delivered a keynote address at the Rozgar Mela held at Zorawar Singh Auditorium, Jammu University. During his speech, he highlighted the government's commitment to merit-based selection processes and its focus on employment generation under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Som Prakash emphasized that the newly recruited individuals have been chosen on the basis of merit, highlighting the government's unwavering commitment to transparency and accountability in the selection process. He commended this approach as a testament to the government's dedication to ensuring the highest standards in recruitment.
The Rozgar Mela, organized to fulfill Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to prioritize employment generation, marked the ninth edition of its kind, where a remarkable 51,000 appointment letters will be distributed to newly inducted recruits across the nation. Prakash underlined the importance of such initiatives in realizing the government's goal of making India a "Vishwa Guru" (world leader) by 2047 during the next 25 years of the Amrit Kaal.
Addressing the audience, Sh. Prakash encouraged the youth to leverage various government schemes to become job providers rather than job seekers. He cited initiatives such as the Start-up India Scheme and MUDRA Yojana as examples of programs that have significantly contributed to employment generation and wealth creation in India. These schemes have not only boosted the employment rate but have also empowered individuals to create job opportunities for themselves and others.
Furthermore, Som Prakash noted that India's overall exports have reached unprecedented levels under the current government, showcasing the country's economic growth and global presence.
The Rozgar Mela in Jammu served as a platform to underscore the government's dedication to employment generation, transparency in recruitment, and the promotion of entrepreneurship among the youth. Sh. Som Prakash's address reinforced the government's commitment to these ideals, emphasizing their importance in shaping India's future.
