JAMMU, Nov 14: Joginder Kour Rtd government service joined National Conference in presence of Rattan Lal Gupta Provincial President Jammu Province at Sher-e- Kashmir Bhavan, Jammu today. Welcoming Joginder Kour into the party fold, Rattan Lal Gupta described National Conference as a mass movement that has all along stood for the just cause of the people of Jammu and Kashmir strived for development and progress of the J&K with a sense of commitment. Rattan Lal Gupta said that the National Conference during its regime in the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir headed by Dr. Farooq Abdullah as well as later by Omar Abdullah left no stone unturned in fully empowering the women of this region. He said that it is known to one and all the National Conference has during every phase of its rule worked relentlessly for providing equal rights to each and every section of the society. The function of joining was organized by Bimla Luthra former MLA and State Vice President Women wing while welcoming Joginder Kour in the party. She said that National Conference committed for the welfare of the women folk in J&K specially ignored far-flung areas of UT. Joginder Kour pledged to carry forward the mission of National Conference in transforming Jammu and Kashmir into a peaceful and progressive UT with devotion and dedication. She joined the party because National Conference being a secular party and having great faith in the leadership of Dr Farooq Abdullah Former Chief Minister and President, JKNC and Omar Abdullah Former Chief Minister and Vice President JKNC. Those who were present on this occasion: Satwant Kour Dogra Provincial President Jammu Province Women Wing, Vijay Lochan Chairman SC Cell, Pyare Lal Sharma, Dilshad Malik, Pinky Khalsa, Rita Gupta, S. Nirmal Singh, Latta Kumari, Santosh, Rekha Devi, Saroj Bala and others.
