Udhampur, Nov 18: In celebration of Constitution Day, Government Degree College (GDC) Neeli Nallah Udhampur organized a highly informative one-day seminar focused on “Environmental Laws” under the overarching theme “My Constitution My Pride.” The event was expertly guided by Prof. Hans Raj, the Principal of the college.
The seminar opened with a compelling keynote address by Prof. Hans Raj, who highlighted the paramount importance of such awareness programs in educating students about the constitutional significance of environmental laws. Emphasizing that laws and policies, in conjunction with constitutional provisions, form the legal framework for addressing environmental challenges and promoting sustainable development, Prof. Hans Raj set the stage for an engaging and insightful discussion. The audience, primarily composed of enthusiastic students, actively participated in the seminar, which included competitive presentations and discussions on environmental laws. The top three positions in the seminar were secured by Rimjim (Semester 1), Avantika Sharma (Semester 5), and Ramneek Sharma (Semester 3), claiming the first, second, and third prizes, respectively. Prof. Hans Raj congratulated the participants for their outstanding performance and commended their dedication. Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Mir served as the convenor of the program, overseeing the seamless organization of the seminar.
