| Students visit Early Times office, learn techniques of making newspaper | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 18: As part of their Vocational Educational Industrial Visit Programme, students of Government Higher Secondary School Kah-Pohta of Dansal block of Jammu district on Saturday visited the office of the Early Times to get first-hand information about working in a newspaper office.
The Vocational Educational Programme is part of education under the Smagra Siksha Abhiyan.
30 students of Government Higher Secondary School Kah-Pohta visited the office of the Early Times and interacted with staff members of the newspaper.
First of all, the students were informed about the working of the printing press and they were educated about the latest printing technology in the market.
Apart from working in the printing press, students were also informed about the collection and selection of the news.
They were also educated about page-making and other works involved in making a complete newspaper.
Students of the school showed great interest and expressed their gratitude toward the management of the newspaper for providing them with all the information about making a complete newspaper.
Later management of the Early Times provided refreshments to the visiting students. |
