Special camps held under SSR of electoral rolls in Kulgam

KULGAM, Nov 18: Special camps were conducted across the district today under special Summary revision of Photo Electoral Rolls.
Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, (District Election Officer), Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat today visited polling stations in Kulgam area and took stock of process of Registration of eligible voters during special camp organised in these polling stations.
During his visit the DEO interacted with BLOs and instructed the BLOs to ensure 100% enrollment of new and eligible voters during this special summary Revision.
Accompanying the DEO were ERO Kulgam Mir Imtiyaz ul Aziz, Dy-DEO Kulgam, Bilal Kamgar, Bilal Naseem (AERO) Kulgam and other officers.
It was informed that as per the directions of the Election Commission of India, the special summary Revision is being carried out throughout the district for addition of new voters, deletion, transposition and correction of the Parliament & Assembly electoral Rolls. It was also informed that anyone attaining the age of 18 Years till 01-01-2024 can fill the form of inclusion, however persons attaining age of 18 from 02-01-2024 upto 01-10-2024 can also fill form in advance and the last date for filing of claims & objections is 09-12-2023 and Final Publication of Electoral Roll has been fixed as 05-01-2024. During these camps which are held across the district, EROs & AEROs also visited their respective constituencies and interacted with BLOs and people so that no eligible voter is left unregistered.
It was also intimated that all BLOs shall remain available at their respective polling stations with sufficient number of prescribed forms by the ECI for registration of eligible left out voters tomorrow on Sunday.
