Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra: Shaleen Kabra joins yatra at Panchayat Chajjwal

SAMBA, Dec 11: The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, an initiative to spread awareness on flagship government schemes, reached Panchayat Chajjwal, Block Samba today.
The yatra was joined by Additional Chief Secretary (ACS), Jal Shakti, Shaleen Kabra, who inaugurated two Water Supply Schemes at Sujwan in Panchayat Chajjwal and Rampur in Panchayat Gudwal respectively under Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM).
He inspected the stalls set up by various departments to showcase their achievements and services. The event started with the national anthem, followed by a cultural programme by the students of various government schools.
On the occasion, Prime Minister’s message was played through Information, Education and Communication (IEC) van, and the Sankalp pledge was taken by all the participants.
Shaleen Kabra, in his address, expressed happiness to be a part of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and to have an opportunity to meet the locals. He applauded the PRIs for understanding and addressing the local problems with care and diligence. He dedicated the project to the people of Chajjwal and said that clean water supply in the area will benefit more than 900 residents.
ACS urged upon all stakeholders to understand their role and responsibility towards making Bharat Viksit Yatra a grand success.
He said that everyone should be aware of the schemes and their benefits, and spread the word further to others. “It is moral duty of everyone to contribute towards growth and development of the nation.
He appreciated the role of school education and sports departments in shaping a bright future of our youth. He said that our goal is to take India from Viksit to Vilakshan Bharat.
The highlight of the event was felicitation of beneficiaries of different schemes and exceptional sports persons of the area.
Shaleen Kabra handed over Abhinandan Patra to Sarpanch Sardar Girdara Singh under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
The yatra also featured a segment called ‘Meri Kahani Meri Zubaani’, where the beneficiaries of various schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), UMEED, Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), Kisan Credit Card (KCC), Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PM MVY), shared their success stories and experiences.
A documentary on Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was also screened on the occasion to educate the citizens about various flagship schemes and their benefits.
Meanwhile, a quiz on the schemes was conducted, and the winners were felicitated with certificates.
