Youth Services and Sports Department Hosts Inter-Division UT Level Football and Yoga Competitions in Jammu

Jammu, Dec 11: The Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Jammu, orchestrated a grand showcase of athletic prowess as it hosted Inter-Division UT Level Selection Trials in U-17 Football and Inter-Division UT Level Competitions in U-19 Yoga for boys and girls. The football trials unfolded at Khel Goan Nagrota, while the yoga competitions took place at Youth Hostel Nagrota on December 11, 2023.
Under the esteemed patronage of Director Youth Services and Sports JK UT, Sh. Subhash Chander Chibber (JKAS), and the guidance of Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Jammu, Sh. Suram Chand Sharma (JKAS), the events were executed with meticulous planning and supervision by DYSSO Jammu, Sh. Sukhdev Raj Sharma.
The primary objective of these competitions is to identify and select the most skilled players who will represent the region in the upcoming levels of competition. These initiatives fall in line with the broader vision of promoting sports and fitness among the youth.
The results of the U-17 football selection trials will be communicated at a later date. The trials witnessed enthusiastic participation from young football enthusiasts showcasing their talent and determination on the field.
