AGENCIES
SHIMLA, Jan 1: Nand Lal Sharma, Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of SJVN, addressed the employees during the 'Setting up of the priorities for the year 2024' event held at the Corporate Headquarters in Shimla. The event, attended by Geeta Kapur, Director (Personnel), and Akhileshwar Singh, Director (Finance), marked the beginning of the new year with a focus on the company's growth and objectives.
In his address, Nand Lal Sharma conveyed warm greetings for a prosperous new year and emphasized SJVN's remarkable progress. The successful commissioning of two significant projects in 2023, namely the 60 MW Naitwar Mori Hydro Power Station and the 75 MW Gurhah Solar Power Plant, contributed to the company's growth. SJVN's total installed capacity has now reached 2227 MW, with a project portfolio exceeding 56000 MW.
Nand Lal Sharma highlighted the tremendous growth in SJVN's market capitalization, with a threefold increase in share prices during the calendar year 2023-a historic achievement for the company. He urged employees to focus on key areas: maximizing power generation from operational projects, expediting under-construction projects, fast-tracking activities in the Survey & Investigation stage, and acquiring new projects to sustain the momentum of success.
