Court frames charges against auditor

Jammu, Dec 1: Special Judge Anticorruption Srinagar Surinder Singh framed charges against Syed Mujeeb Andrabi Accounts Assistant (Auditor) in trap case.
According to the ACB that accused while posted as Public Servant as Accounts Assistant (Auditor) in Sadder Treasury Srinagar by abuse of your official position as a public servant on 29-03-2022 had demanded and accepted bribe of Rs.1500/- as illegal gratification from the complainant namely Mohammad Waseem Khan S/o Nazir Ahmed Khan R/o Khawaja Bazar Nowhatta Srinagar who has been a contractor. The Deputy Director Tourism M&W has submitted a bill for release of payment in favour of above contractor/complainant for an amount of Rs.256000/-(Gross) Rs.250266/-(Net), containing total 22 leaves was in possession of the accused public servant and the accused demanded and accepted the bribe money of Rs.1500/- from complainant for being his legitimate duty thus misusing his official position and violating the basic norm of public servant duty.
Special Judge Anticorruption Srinagar Surinder after hearing both the sides observed that accused having been found prima facie the commission of offence U/S 7 of P. C. Act by the accused, the charge was framed and its contents have been read over and explained to accused, who pleaded not guilty & claimed to be tried. JNF
