Pragati Girl Hostel, SKUAST Jammu, bid farewell to outgoing BVSc&AH students

JAMMU, Jan 1: Pragati Girls Hostel at the Faculty of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, SKUAST- Jammu, celebrated a heartfelt farewell for the outgoing BVSc&AH students on the last day of the year 2023. The boarders of the hostel, guided by Warden Dr. Sanku Borkataki, organized a warm send-off for the final year outgoing batch 2023-24 at Pragati Girls Hostel in R. S. Pura.
The farewell event, named "Adieux Bash," took place in the evening at the Faculty club, FVSc Campus, R. S. Pura. The program featured mesmerizing performances by students, making it a memorable occasion for all. Honorable Vice Chancellor, SKUAST Jammu, Prof. B N. Tripathi inaugurated the event and released a souvenir prepared by the outgoing batch in connection with the occasion. Dr. Tripathi administered the veterinarian's oath to the 14 outgoing boarders.
During his address, Prof. B N. Tripathi emphasized the challenges ahead in the veterinary profession and encouraged the students to provide the best professional service for the progress of the nation. He highlighted the value of the time spent in hostel life, expressing that it creates lasting memories.
Dean FVSc&AH, Dr. Rajesh Katoch, also spoke at the event, advising the students to build good relationships, foster brotherhood with senior and junior students, and prepare themselves to become not only successful veterinarians but also good human beings.
Dr. Sudhakar Dwivedi, Dean Students Welfare, was present and emphasized the students' duties in contributing to the development of the nation. The event saw the participation of numerous students and children from the resident complex who showcased various cultural activities alongside a bonfire event.
The vibrant evening was attended by teachers and their families from the R. S. Pura Campus, making it a delightful and memorable farewell for the outgoing batch of BVSc&AH students.
