Jammu, Feb 3: As per their earlier programme, agitating groups organized a“Leh Chalo” rally in Leh and observed a complete shutdown in Kargil but the people of Ladakh are optimistic about the Centre’s fresh initiative to start the second round of dialogue.
Sources said that non-political leaders in the Leh Apex Body (LAB) have suggested that a fresh initiative of the Centre should be taken positively. These leaders were of the view of that instead of adopting an adamant attitude, agitating groups should show some flexibility to solve the issue. However, people today attended “Leh Chalo” rally in Leh in support of their demand of Statehood, Constitutional safeguards under the Sixth Schedule, PSC, and employment opportunities for Ladakh, and separate representation for Kargil and Leh districts in Rajya and Lok Sabha.
