Vansh Sabre Sports Foundation Advocates for Dispensary
4/10/2024 10:38:32 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 10: In a bid to prioritize the health and well-being of athletes, the Secretary of Vansh Sabre Sports Foundation, Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, has urged Manoj Sinha, Hon'ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, to inaugurate a dispensary and provide essential medical services at M.A. Stadium in Jammu and Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar.
With approximately 1000 players of all age groups, both boys and girls, flocking to M.A. Stadium in Jammu and Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar for practice sessions across various sports, the absence of immediate medical assistance poses a significant concern. In instances where players sustain injuries during practice sessions, the lack of immediate first aid often necessitates their transfer to government hospitals, which can lead to delays in treatment.
Recognizing the critical importance of timely medical intervention, Gupta emphasized the need for a fully equipped dispensary manned by a qualified physician and a nurse. The proposed dispensary would operate during morning and evening practice sessions from 8 AM to 10 AM and 4 PM to 6:30 PM on all days except holidays, including Sundays.
The provision of immediate first aid services within the stadium premises would not only ensure prompt medical attention in the event of injuries but also potentially safeguard the careers and well-being of aspiring athletes. Gupta's initiative underscores the commitment of Vansh Sabre Sports Foundation towards promoting sportsmanship while prioritizing the health and safety of athletes.
The implementation of such a facility would not only serve the immediate needs of athletes but also contribute to fostering a conducive environment for sports development in the region. It is hoped that the authorities will consider and expedite the establishment of the proposed dispensary, thereby enhancing the overall sports infrastructure and nurturing the sporting talent of Jammu & Kashmir.
