SSP Jammu conducted Crime review meetings at SDPO office RS Pura and Gandhi Nagar

Jammu, June 2: SSP Jammu, Dr.Vinod Kumar-IPS , today on 02.06.2024 held two review meetings at SDPO office RS Pura & Gandhi Nagar(South).
At RS Pura besides SP headquarters Jammu & SDPO RS Pura,all the SHO’s and investigating officers of Sub-Division RS Pura attended the Crime review meeting and at SDPO office Gandhinagar besides SP South and SDPO Ghandi Nagar,all the SHO’s & investigating officers of Sub-division Ghandinagar attended the said Crime review meeting.
At both the Crime review meeting,a threadbare discussion was held with supervisory officers,SHO’s ,IC PPs and investigating officers on crime and other allied matters which includes discussion on under investigation cases of the current year along with backlog cases.
While reviewing crime, SSP Jammu emphasized upon the officers to ensure quality investigation and timely production of chargesheet in the court of law so that justice is delivered to the crime victims.
SSP Jammu directed the officers to make all out efforts to expedite the investigation and minimize the crime pendency. They were also stressed upon to launch special drive against the drug peddlers and ascertain their backward/forward channels to break the network and book main suppliers of the drugs so that drug menace is rooted out from the District. Supervisory officers /SHOs/IO’s were also directed to launch special drive for the arrest of absconders, tracing out of missing, review of history sheeters, surveillance and keeping hawk eye on suspects,anti-social elements & antinational elements.
SSP Jammu also emphasized upon the officers to take preventive action against miscreants, trouble creators, activate nakas besides establishing of random nakas/MVCPs and surprise checking /frisking for effective monitoring on ground.
Officers assured SSP Jammu that they will work with full commitment & dedication to reduce the overall pendency of Crime & ensure peaceful atmosphere in the District.
