Early Times Report

Jammu, June 2: Buoyed over the exit poll result, the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference asserted to review all decisions taken in the Union Territory after August 5, 2019.
Within minutes after the exit poll predicted three Lok Sabha seats of Kashmir Valley for the National Conference, the party opposed the decision of the Union Territory administration to identify land for the construction of five-star hotels in all 20 districts of Jammu and Kashmir. National Conference has expressed strong objections to the formation of district-level committees, headed by the respective deputy commissioners, for identifying land to establish five-star hotels in J&K. State Spokesperson Imran Dar criticized the decision, stating that the motive behind such actions is questionable until a popularly elected government is in place.
“With elections scheduled in the coming months, all these orders should be put on hold until an elected government takes office,” he said.
"The NC is committed to reviewing all decisions made after August 5, 2019, if elected later this year. Therefore, anyone, including private companies or individuals, considering participation in offers from this J&K administration should reflect on the prudence of acting now versus waiting a few more months."
Dar emphasized that such proposals should be managed by a popular government that prioritizes all aspects, including ecology, the environment, and the interests of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. "Any actions contrary to these priorities can and will be revised by the elected government," he added.
As reported by this newspaper, the exit polls on Saturday projected three seats for the National Conference (NC) in Jammu and Kashmir and two seats for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Most of the exit polls predicted Srinagar, Baramulla, and Anantnag-Rajouri parliamentary seats to the NC and the two seats of Jammu and Kathua-Udhampur to the BJP.
