DC Rajouri reviews implementation of self-employment generation schemes

RAJOURI, July 11: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Om Prakash Bhagat today conducted a comprehensive review of the progress made in implementation of self-employment generation schemes in the district.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner took stock of the existing employment schemes being implemented by different departments in the district including DIC, NRLM, Employment, JKEDI, Animal and Sheep Husbandary and other concerned departments. He directed the officers to proactively identify and support beneficiaries under the self-employment generation schemes. He emphasized that these schemes play a crucial role in enabling individuals to become self-reliant and contribute significantly to the development of the district. Stressing the importance of diligent monitoring and evaluation to ensure the success of these programs, he directed the officers to establish robust mechanisms for tracking progress, promptly addressing challenges and fostering collaboration with other departments and stakeholders for optimal outcomes.
The self-employment generation schemes are part of the broader vision of the District Administration to foster economic empowerment and create sustainable livelihood options. Through these initiatives, the District Administration aims to empower individuals, promote entrepreneurship, and stimulate economic growth, thereby fostering a prosperous and self-reliant community in Rajouri.
The DC also directed the officers to organize awareness camps across the district to educate the public about the self-employment generation schemes and their benefits. He emphasized the need to create awareness about the schemes and encouraged the officers to mobilize the stakeholders to ensure maximum participation.
The meeting was attended by the ADDC, Dr Raj Kumar Thapa; GM DIC, Fareed Kohli; Director RSETI, Raman Sharma; DIO NIC, Muzaffar Mir; Principal ITI Rajouri Ujjwal Mahajan; Dy Registrar CS, Adnan Rathar; and other concerned officers.
