He emphasized that the Budget does not adequately address the pressing economic challenges faced by the nation. Furthermore, he criticized the Budget for lacking significant provisions for women empowerment, youth development, and support for the poorer sections of society. He highlighted concerns over the lack of concrete measures to stimulate economic growth, create employment opportunities, and address the financial distress faced by various sectors.
Expressing concern for the farming community, Rattan Lal said that the ruling government at the Centre has miserably failed to do any specific for the farmers. He challenged the government to provide clarity on the number of farmers whose income has genuinely doubled in the last decade, scrutinizing the efficacy of agricultural policies. As the nation grapples with economic challenges, he urged the government to move beyond rhetoric and focus on implementing practical solutions that address the genuine needs of the people.
The Provincial President emphasized that only the National Conference can guarantee the protection of job and land rights for the people of Jammu and Kashmir, ensuring their interests are safeguarded. He asked the people of Jammu region to support wholeheartedly National Conference in the ensuing Assembly elections with an aim to ensure their voices are heard and their rights are defended against any adverse policies or external pressures.
