National Webinar on sustainable energy held at SMVDU

JAMMU, Sept 25: National Webinar on Sustainable Energy: An Environmental Approach and Solar Photovoltaic: Nano fluid Approach has been organised by School of Mechanical Engineering, SMVDU on 23.09.2024. In the inaugural function; Prof. Balbir Singh, Dean (AA), SMVDU has presided over the function, and delivered his presidential address, highlighting the importance of sustainable development goals on clean and affordable energy practice at local and national level.
Also, importance of collaborative work in this area between SMVDU and Puducherry Technological University. Prof. Yathesth Anand, Head, School of Mechanical Engineering has advised the students about clean and zero emission energy conversion systems at micro and macro level. Prof. (Dr.) P. Mathiazhagan, from Puducherry Technical University has delivered two technical sessions as (i) Overview of Conventional and Sustainable Energy - An Environmental Approach and (ii) Improvement on Efficiency of Solar Photovoltaic - Nano fluid Approach, during forenoon and afternoon to the students of SMVDU. Perception on the need of sustainable energy through an environment approach has been discussed with day-to-day engineering applications for better understanding. Also, solar photovoltaic cell performance enhancement through nano fluid. At the end, questions and answer sessions were given to the students for clearing the doubts. Dr. Rajiv Kumar, Organising Secretary has delivered the sincere thanks to the speaker Prof. (Dr.) P. Mathiazhagan and heartfelt thanks to Prof. Pragati Kumar, Vice Chancellor for the support and encouragement. Prof. M. Eswaramoorthy & Dr. Amit Kr. Sinha had coordinated the webinar.
