PM Modi’s relentless drive fosters innovation culture

It has been the relentless drive of PM Modi to foster a culture of innovation in the country and create a level playing field for providing cutting-edge technology for all. In continuation with this spirit, PM participated in a Tech CEOs Roundtable during the visit to US. The Roundtable witnessed participation of 15 CEOs and Heads of leading tech sector companies of the world.
A key emphasis of PM in recent times has been on developing a vibrant semiconductor ecosystem in India.
In tune with this, PM met CEOs of top semiconductor companies including Lam Research, GlobalFoundries, Nvidia and AMD Global. This is the fourth such meeting with leaders of the semiconductor ecosystem in the past one month. Previously, PM has undertaken three initiatives to boost the semiconductor ecosystem through exchange of MoU on India-Singapore Semiconductor Ecosystem Partnership and visit to semiconductor company AEM Holdings in Singapore, Semiconductor Executives’ Roundtable at Lok Kalyan Marg in Delhi and participation in SEMICON India 2024 in Noida, UP.
India is one of the world leaders in pharma sector and a leading provider of vaccines. Under the leadership of PM Modi, India not only handled the Covid crisis well, but also sent vaccines to other countries to lend a helping hand. In order to give a further boost to the sector, PM met CEOs of global pharma companies Eli Lilly and Bristol Myers; chairman of vaccine company Moderna and CEO of leading biotech company Biogen.
India being an IT hub, the domain strength of India as an IT service provider has grown multifold under the leadership of PM Modi. Further, efforts are being undertaken by the government to promote India further in the field of IT hardware development. During the Tech CEOs Roundtable, PM Modi also met CEOs of top IT and Software giants such as Adobe, Google, IBM Global, HP, and Kundryl.
In addition, he also met CEOs of Accenture, the leading global professional services company and Verizon, the leading provider of communications, technology, information and entertainment products and services.
After the meeting, several CEOs lauded the vision of PM and praised his leadership. Google CEO Sundar Pichai said “PM has been focussed on transforming India. It is Digital India vision. He pushed us to continue making in India, designing in India. He has always challenged all of us to do more, more for India. Now, he is asking us to do the same with AI.” Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said “PM is such an incredible student and every time I see him, he wants to learn about technology, Artificial Intelligence, the potential and opportunity for India, the impact on Indian society & industry.”
During his Independence day speech, PM Modi gave a clarion call of Design in India, Design for the World. This visit of the PM to the US further strengthened this resolve of the PM giving a major push to self-reliant India.
