Early Times Report
KATHUA, Sept 25: As part of the Systematic Voters' Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) initiative, a Rangoli competition and skit programme were successfully conducted at Government High School (GHS) Lachhipur, today.
The twin events were part of spreading awareness about the importance of voting, with a special focus on educating the public about the use of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs).
The students enthusiastically participated in the event, using art and performance as a medium to convey the significance of voter participation in the upcoming elections. The Rangoli competition beautifully illustrated themes related to democracy and the electoral process, while the skit performance captivated the audience, delivering a clear message on the importance of casting votes responsibly and using EVMs accurately.
The skit, performed by the students, was particularly impactful, offering a vivid demonstration of the voting process through EVMs, emphasizing how each vote plays a critical role in shaping the future of the constituency. The performance was well-received by the audience, who appreciated the students' creativity and dedication to raising awareness on such a vital issue.
These were part of broader SVEEP awareness programme of District SVEEP Cell designed to educate voters across the region, encouraging full participation in the electoral process. The local administration and school authorities lauded the efforts of the students, expressing confidence that such initiatives would significantly increase voter turnout in the upcoming elections.
