Jammu, Sept 25: Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering & Technology, Jammu organized Induction Program for newly admitted first year students of 2024 batch. The induction program commenced with the lighting of the traditional lamp by His Holiness Mahant Manjit Singh Ji (Sole Trustee) along with S. Gurnam Singh (Chairman), S. Lakhbir Singh Bawa (Advisor), Prof. (Dr.) D. K. Gupta (Director-cum-Principal), Prof. Hardev Singh (Chairman MMSIPS), Dr. Jaswant Singh (Chairman IGNOU Centre SMSCE), Prof. (Dr.) Amrik Singh (Vice Principal), Prof. Parveen Singh (Dean Academics) and Ms. Sarbjeet Kour (HOD, APSH).
His Holiness Mahant Manjit Singh Ji shared his wisdom on the importance of education in modern time and emphasized that leading a honourable life in the twenty-first century will be available only to those who are well technically qualified. Students were advised to be committed to their professional education and to strive hard to meet their goals and expectation of their parents.
S. Gurnam Singh, (Chairman) in his address shared his valuable insight and future vision for the institution. He highlighted the college commitment in creating a conducive learning environment for the all-round development of the students. Prof. (Dr.) Dinesh Kumar Gupta, (Principal) in his address motivated and inspired the newly enrolled students to embrace their passion for engineering and strive for excellence in their studies.
Prof. (Dr.) Amrik Singh (Vice Principal) presented details of college infrastructure and exhorted the students for their self-management while pursuing the technical degree course. Prof. Parveen Singh (Dean Academics) highlighted the course curriculum and academic policies of the college as per the rules and regulation of the University of Jammu. Dr. Jaswant Singh (Chairman IGNOU Centre SMSCE) encouraged the students to embrace their academic journey with enthusiasm and dedication.
S. Bhupinder Singh (Chairman GHPS), Head of Departments, Director Students Welfare, Section Heads and Faculty members were present. The program was coordinated by Prof. Parveen Singh, Ms. Sarbjeet Kour along with faculty members of APSH Department. Ms. Sarbjeet Kour (HOD APSH) presented vote of thanks. The whole program was ably anchored by Ms. Surinder Kaur Bali and Ms. Shivangi Gupta.
