Jammu, Oct 9: After the party’s worst-ever defeat in Jammu province, the self-proclaimed senior Congress leaders are likely to face action as the party high command has taken very serious note of this historic embarrassment.
First time since the democratic history of Jammu and Kashmir the Congress got only one seat from the Jammu province. Earlier 2014 elections were considered as worst for the Congress party in Jammu and Kashmir but even in that election party won Surankote, Banihal, Inderwal, Gool-Arnas, and Mahore assembly segments from the Jammu region.

First time in the democratic history of Jammu and Kashmir the Congress got only one seat from the Jammu province.
Earlier 2014 elections were considered as the worst for the Congress party in J&K but even in that election the party had won 5 seats in Jammu region.
After the declaration of results all senior Congress leaders including AICC incharge and co-in-charges are untraceable.
Congress high command is likely to take action against some senior leaders who were adamant about contesting elections from particular seats at the cost of young leaders.
k an answer from them for the worst-ever debacle.
Highly placed sources said that high command is likely to take action against some senior leaders who were adamant about contesting elections on some particular seats at the cost of young leaders.
Sources further said that high command has sought a report about the entire episode of the Chhamb Assembly segment where the party mandate was denied to a deserving youth leader Satish Sharma, who emerged victorious as an Independent candidate from this segment pushing the official Congress candidate and former Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand to third place.
“High command wants to know who were leaders behind the entire episode to giving the mandate to Tara Chand on this seat at the cost of Satish Sharma”, sources said.
