NEW DELHI, Oct 9: The All India U-17 Girls' IPSC Cricket Tournament 2024 commenced on 8 Oct 2024 at Pinegrove School, Dharampur. Capt AJ SIngh, Executive Director, Pinegrove School was the esteemed Chief Guest for the Opening Ceremony. This prestigious tournament will showcase the talents of the enthusiastic teams hailing from 4 elite schools of India, Maharani Gayatri Devi Girls' School, Jaipur; Modern School, Delhi; Delhi Public School, RK Puram and the host, Pinegrove School, Solan. The thrilling inaugural match was played between Pinegrove School and Maharani Gayatri Devi (MGD) School, Jaipur. Pinegrove School set a target of 126/5 in their allotted overs, with an impressive knock from Laavya Gautam, who scored 33 off 39 balls. MGD, Jaipur could manage only 54 runs on board before being bowled out. Vanya Lamba from Pinegrove was the standout bowler, taking 3 wickets, which proved crucial for her team's victory. Vanya Lamba was declared the Player of the Match.
Pinegrove School now looks forward to their next match with confidence after a solid all-round performance.
