| GDC Samba visits Jasrota wildlife Sanctuary | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 11: The Department of Botany and Geography of Pandit Prem Nath Dogra GDC Samba under the patronage of Prof. (Dr.) Twinkle Suri embarked on an insightful field trip to Jasrota Wild Life Sanctuary to commemorate World Habitat Day, 2024.The event aimed to provide students with practical knowledge about wildlife conservation, biodiversity, and habitat preservation. Guided by Mr. Rattan Singh, an official from the Wildlife Sanctuary andfaculty members, the students explored the sanctuary, diverse floraand fauna; learning about the ecological balance maintained within natural habitats. The trip highlighted the significance of preserving these ecosystems and the impact of human activities onwildlife. The faculty members emphasized the importance of sustainable practices in conserving naturalhabitats. A student seminar on the theme "Role of youth in creating a better urban future" was also held during the visit.
