Capacity building program on Mission Yuva held

JAMMU, Oct 11: One-day capacity-building program on Mission YUVA (Yuva Udhyami Vikas Abhiyaan) was organized by J&K Skill Development Department at Government Polytechnic Bikram Chowk Jammu. The program aims at sensitizing all Nodal/Coordinating officers of Labour and Employment, JKEDI, J&K Bank, NABARD and Skill Development Department on the purpose, components and monitoring of Mission YUVA in the UT of J&K. The event was graced by Sh. Rajeev Ranjan, Administrative Secretary to the Government of J&K, Skill Development deptt, Labour and Employment, Revenue Deptt and CEO Mission Youth, who delivered an insightful address on Mission YUVA. He emphasized on creating a conducive environment where the youth can feel confident to take risks, innovate and build businesses. His speech inspired the participants by offering a comprehensive overview of the project and emphasizing the importance of self-motivation among government employees to foster the culture of entrepreneurship. He highlighted that the success of the Mission YUVA relies on government employees, who play a crucial role in executing the project and generating widespread entrepreneurial impact. Om Prakash Bhagat, Director, Skill Development Department, while addressing the gathering, shed light on the core concepts and various dimensions of Mission YUVA. Approximately 100 participants from Labour and Employment, JKEDI, J&K Bank, NABARD, along with heads of departments and Lecturers from Government Polytechnic Jammu, Government Women Polytechnic Jammu, and Government Polytechnic Samba attended the program. The key resource persons of the event were Mrs. Jaya Bhasin, Dean at Central University Jammu; Shahid Mushtaq, Assistant Professor at Central University Jammu; Shalesh Sharma, AGM at NABARD; and Mohit Hans from J&K Bank, who offered valuable insights into different facets of the YUVA Mission. The key speakers elucidated the various components of Mission YUVA - Eco-System Creation, Institutional Business support Mechanism, Enterprise Development, Creating Business Plans, DPR and Credit Enabling for easy access to entrepreneurs. The program was organized under the supervision of Arun Bangotra, Principal Government Polytechnic Jammu, and coordinated by Ajay Thapa, Lecturer-I (Mechanical Engineering Department), and Mrs. Deepika Sharma, Lecturer (Computer Science) and Mohd Fiyaz, Under Secretary, Labour and Employment Department.
