Early Times Report
KATHUA, Oct 11: Delhi Public School Junior, Kathua, recently hosted a captivating Ramleela performance, showcasing the immense talent and enthusiasm of the young students from Class 1. This remarkable event brought to life pivotal moments from the revered epic Ramayana, illustrating the triumph of good over evil. Under the meticulous guidance of their dedicated teachers, Shalu, Bhavna, Him Lata, and Shweta, the students delivered a memorable performance that left the audience awestruck.
The young actors embraced their roles with remarkable zeal, portraying key figures from the Ramayana, including Lord Ram, Sita, Lakshman, Hanuman, and Ravana. Through their enthusiastic performances, they recreated iconic scenes such as Lord Ram's exile and his eventual victory over the demon king Ravana. Despite their tender age, the students successfully captured the essence of these timeless stories, engaging the audience with a blend of creativity and discipline.
The portrayal of these characters reflected not just theatrical skill but also a deep understanding of the values embodied by the epic, such as truth, justice, devotion, and the importance of righteousness. The performance of the young students resonated deeply with these moral lessons, making the event both entertaining and spiritually enriching.
Behind this successful performance was the unwavering dedication of the teachers, who meticulously planned and rehearsed for weeks to ensure each student could shine. Their careful direction was evident in every aspect of the production, from the delivery of lines to the vibrant costumes and well-coordinated choreography. Each student was given the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the performance, ensuring that the entire cast worked together seamlessly to create a powerful and cohesive production.
Monika Singh, the School Incharge, praised the efforts of the students and their teachers, emphasizing the significance of such cultural performances in the holistic development of young minds. "The story of Ramayana carries profound lessons in morality and ethics, and it is heartening to see our young students internalize and reflect these values through their performances. Their dedication is a testament to the guidance and encouragement provided by their teachers," she remarked.
The school's management and Principal also expressed their appreciation, commending the students for their talent and perseverance. "We are incredibly proud of how our young students have taken on the challenge of presenting this epic tale with such grace and enthusiasm. Their performance not only highlights their creativity but also reinforces the importance of staying connected to our cultural roots. This Ramleela performance is a reflection of teamwork, creativity, and the values we strive to instill in our students," they said.
The event concluded with a rousing round of applause and appreciation from the audience, including parents and teachers, who were moved by the children's ability to bring the ancient epic to life. The performance not only entertained but also left an indelible mark on all attendees, underscoring the importance of cultural education in the formative years of young students.
