Locals aghast, seek decisive action against perpetrators
10/21/2024 9:47:54 PM
Early Times Report

Srinagar, Oct 21: The terror attack at Gagangeer, Ganderbal, that left 7 dead and many others injured has left every eye in Kashmir moist.
The attack claimed the lives of Dr. Shahnawaz of Budgam, an architect from Jammu and five non-local laborers.
A relative of Dr. Shahnawaz said, "Our families live in constant fear. We urge authorities to take decisive action to ensure the perpetrators are held accountable.”
The locals said such incidents have plagued Kashmir since decades and this is nothing new for them. "A doctor was killed today, and before this, two brothers from a nearby village, Chadoora, were murdered. To this day, we don’t know who killed them, who the murderers were," he added.
He said that the attack, which took place at night, targeted workers who had come to Ganderbal to earn their livelihood. The workers, hailing from different states, were innocent victims of terror, leaving their families in deep shock and despair.
