Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 21: In a heartbreaking incident, Shashi Abrol, a resident of Jammu, was killed in Sunday’s terror attack in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
Shashi, who worked in a private company, was the sole breadwinner for his family. He is survived by his wife, daughter and a son.
The barbaric attack took place at a tunnel-construction site on the Srinagar-Leh National Highway.
Shashi had called his wife Ruchi, who was observing the Karva Chauth fast for him for the last time around 6:00 PM, unaware that it would be their final conversation.
“I spoke to him in the evening. He didn’t mention any threats. I was going to the temple as part of my Karwa Chauth fast, and we had a brief conversation. I tried calling him after I returned but he didn’t pick up. After that, his phone was switched off,” said, Ruchi.
“I waited for his call but had no idea about the attack,” she added.
Along with Shashi, a doctor and five laborers also lost their lives in the attack.
Shashi’s family is devastated and has urged the government to provide help and support, as he was the lone earning member of the family.
This attack has shocked the entire community, and there are growing calls for justice and assistance for the families affected by the tragedy.
