JAMMU, Oct 21: The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of GDC Kunjwani, Jammu organised "Deeksharambh- Students Induction Programme" for the students of UG Semester I of the session 2024-25. The Programme was Organised under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Manisha Sarup Kohli, Principal of the college. The Programme aimed to welcome newly admitted students and to familiarise them with the college's resources, faculty and various academic programmes and schemes.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Principal and faculty of the College. The Welcome Address was presented by Dr. Arti Pandoh Gupta, Convenor of IQAC. In her address, the Principal of the college warmly welcomed the students of Semester I and exhorted upon them to be disciplined in all walks of life. She further emphasized the commitment of the institution to nurture both academic and personal growth of the students
Dr.Sajaad Iqbal khan from Department of EVS delivered an extensive presentation about NEP 2020. He highlighted the inception of the Institution and its growth viz infrastructure, faculty and the variouscourses available under NEP 2020. He also apprised the students about Examination system and eligibility criteria for promotion to the next semester .Prof Shamshad Bibi from the Department of Commerce introduced the students about various scholarship schemes launched by the Government for the upliftment of students. Prof. Risha Kumari from the Department of Punjabi briefed the students about various college committees constituted for honing various talents and creativity among students
Dr Neeru Sharma, NSS Programme Oficer of the college introduced the students to various programmes undertaken under NSS. She also presented the formal vote of thanks. Proceeding of the programme were conducted by Dr Ashaq Hussain from Department of Urdu.
