AYODHYA, Oct 21: The countdown to Deepotsav 2024 has officially begun, with preparations in full swing for the eighth edition of this grand celebration. Scheduled from October 28 to 30, this year's Deepotsav promises to be the most magnificent and unique yet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
In a bid to recreate the spirit of the Treta Yuga, the Yogi government is transforming Ayodhya into a vibrant reflection of the era associated with Lord Shri Ram. This year marks the first Deepotsav following the consecration of Shri Ram Lalla, adding even more significance to the festivities.
The Culture Department is spearheading the construction of 10 cultural platforms throughout the city, including three major stages at Guptar Ghat, Badi Devkali, and Naya Ghat, as well as smaller stages at various locations. These platforms will utilize modern technology to showcase scenes from the Ramayana, providing visitors with a rich, immersive experience.
A grand exhibition at Ram Katha Park will highlight key episodes from the epic through advanced visual techniques, allowing devotees to engage with the narratives of the Ramayana like never before. The Ayodhya Municipal Corporation is also playing a crucial role, focusing on cleaning and beautifying the city, while the Culture Department decorates monasteries, temples, and other religious sites to create a spiritually uplifting atmosphere. To further enhance the experience, the Gorakhpur-Lucknow road connecting Ayodhya to the state capital will undergo a special makeover. Live depictions of key events from the Ramayana will be displayed along the route, emphasizing the sanctity and significance of the celebration.
Millions of lamps will illuminate the banks of Ram Ki Paidi, making it a stunning centerpiece for the event. As the city buzzes with excitement, cultural programs are set to fill the days of the festival, ensuring a festive spirit that resonates throughout Ayodhya.
Deepotsav 2024 promises to be a breathtaking celebration, blending tradition with modernity, and inviting all to experience the divine atmosphere that Ayodhya has to offer.
