10/22/2024 10:06:30 PM
Early Times Report
JAMMU, Oct 22: In a joint effort to promote cleanliness and environmental sustainability, the Airports Authority of India (AAI) and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) conducted a cleanliness drive at the Pump House area of Jammu Airport. The initiative was carried out under the leadership of Airport Director, Shri Sanjeev Kumar Garg, as part of the nationwide Special Campaign 4.0.
This drive aimed to enhance the airport's environmental standards and ensure a hygienic atmosphere around critical infrastructure like the Pump House, essential for the airport's daily operations. Staff from both AAI and CISF actively participated, cleaning the area, collecting waste, and raising awareness about the importance of a clean environment.
Speaking about the campaign, Shri Garg emphasized the collective responsibility in maintaining cleanliness at the airport. He stated, "A clean and well-maintained environment not only ensures smooth operations but also enhances the experience for passengers and staff alike. We are committed to making cleanliness a priority at every level."
The cleanliness drive is in alignment with the Swachh Bharat Mission, an initiative both AAI and CISF have consistently supported. Their commitment to cleanliness continues to set a positive example for the airport community and beyond, contributing to the broader objectives of Special Campaign 4.0, which focuses on improving workplace efficiency and maintaining high hygiene standards.
The successful completion of the drive underscores the importance of sustainable practices at the airport, fostering a healthier and more efficient environment for all.
