Early Times Report
ANANTNAG, Oct 22: Dr. Syed Darakhshan Andrabi, Chairperson of the J&K Waqf Board, inaugurated several completed projects and laid the foundation for new initiatives at the Zainuddin Wali Shrine in Aishmuqam and Sarbal Shrines. The events included the unveiling of an upgraded display room for the Holy Relic and a renovated office for the Board at the Sufi shrine.
During her visit, Dr. Andrabi paid her respects at the shrines and prayed for peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir. She was accompanied by Tehsildar and Executive Magistrate Ishtiyaq Mohiuddin, Executive Engineer Tariq Kaloo, and the CEO of PDA.
Highlighting the transformation of infrastructure and facilities at Sufi shrines across J&K over the past two and a half years, Dr. Andrabi emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in the Waqf's financial management. "Numerous developmental works have been initiated and completed, and the change is visible," she noted.
Dr. Andrabi stressed that the Sufi thought of Kashmir offers solutions to violence and hatred, promoting peace and harmony at the grassroots level. "Our Sufis and Rishis are the true ambassadors of truth, guiding us from darkness to light," she remarked. She also inspected ongoing construction projects and laid foundations for several new initiatives, including a recreational space at the shrine.
