10/22/2024 10:12:55 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Oct 22: Under the ongoing Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 (SHS-2024) campaign (Implementation Phase), an awareness campaign on “Toilet Etiquettes” was successfully organized at the Central University of Jammu. The initiative aimed to raise awareness among the Safai Mitras and the surrounding community about essential hygiene practices to prevent the spread of diseases. NCC Senior Division (SD) Boys of the 4th J&K Battalion, in collaboration with the SHS-2024 team, took an active part in this campaign. The cadets distributed informative pamphlets on toilet etiquettes and relevant governmental welfare schemes under the theme “Swabhav Swachhata, Sanskaar Swachhata”. The campaign highlighted best cleanliness and hygiene practices to ensure a cleaner, healthier environment for all. To make the message more accessible, the session was conducted in the vernacular language, ensuring that all participants could easily understand the importance of these practices. The gathering, mobilized by 20 NCC cadets, included approximately 100 people from the surrounding community. At the concluding session, participants and organizers alike took a pledge to adopt these essential hygienic practices in their everyday lives. The drive was organized under the patronage of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sanjeev Jain, and led by Prof. Rocha Kothari, Nodal Officer, SHS Campaign-2024 and Lt. Dr. Pankaj Mehta, Organizing Secretary, SHS Campaign-2024.
