MLA Shopian chairs introductory/review meeting with district & Sectoral Officers

SHOPIAN, Oct 22: The Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) Shopian, Shabir Ahmad Kullay today chaired an introductory cum review meeting with district and sectoral officers of the district at Mini Secretariat, Shopian.
The Officers from R&B, Jal Shakti, Health, School Education, Irrigation, Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, etc presented the department wise activities, development and welfare initiatives being undertaken in the Shopian Assembly Constituency.
District Capex 2023-24 and 2024-25 achievements and ongoing works were also highlighted during the review meeting by respective district Officers.
On the occasion, MLA took stock of various developmental issues pertaining to road connectivity, water supply issues, MC Shopian activities including beautification, health, school education, accelerating irrigation canals network, rural development, horticulture, agriculture works and schemes and other issues of public importance.
The MLA discussed and deliberated on various public welfare measures and sought details of ongoing activities and requirements, department wise. While addressing the inaugural meeting with Officers, the MLA sought fullest cooperation of departments in strengthening the public service delivery.
Earlier, District Development Commissioner Shopian, Mohammad Shahid Saleem Dar in his inaugural speech apprised about the district profile, vital projects under execution. The meeting was attended by ADDC, Dr.Nasir Ahmad Lone; ACR, CPO, GM DIC, CEO, CMO, ExEns, other district and sectoral officers.
