Jammu, Nov 18: The Crime Branch has filed a charge sheet in the court of law for judicial determination against the accused for duping Ex- Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) of Army on the pretext of providing government job to his daughter.
A case FIR No.15/2023 was initially registered at Police Station CICE Jammu on the written complaint lodged by one Ex-Subedar of Army namely Mohd. Zahid S/O Mohd Rafiq R/O Ujhan Tehsil Darhal, Distict Rajouri against Bashir Ahmed Dar belonging to Budgam district. The complainant had alleged in his complaint that on 30th of January of 2023, he received a phone call and the caller introduced himself to be an officer of J&K Service Selection Board and could manage government job as a Teacher for his daughter and asked him to deposit money in his bank account and accordingly the complainant deposited hard earned money in the caller’s account.
Thereafter the accused also met the complainant and his daughter and told them that he w The accused met the complainant and his daughter and told them that he was Secretary of J&K Service Selection Board and would adjust his daughter in Education Department. But neither he managed a government job nor did he return the amount.
Subsequently, the investigation was transferred to EOW Jammu and during the further course of in-depth investigation, IO identified the caller to be a prematurely retired IRP official namely Sgct. Bashir Ahmed Dar of district Budgam who had committed cheating by personation and duped retired JCO of heard earned money. The accused was arrested from Kashmir after series of raids conducted at different places in Kashmir Valley in collaboration with concerned district police.
The investigation has been completed, offences of cheating by personation and cheating for wrongful gain has been proved against him.
Senior Superintendent of Police Crime Jammu, Benam Tosh confirmed that charge sheet in case FIR No. 15/2023, u/s 419/420 IPC has been filed in the court of law for judicial determination. |
