GDC Paloura organizes felicitation cum interactive session

JAMMU, Nov 18: Department of English, GDC Paloura organised felicitation cum interactive session on the successful completion of internship programme which was the part of the curriculum of the students of 5th semester under NEP. The internship programme was carried by the School of Humanities & Liberal Arts, Cluster University of Jammu on 'Translation Studies'.
The Programme intiated with welcome address by Principal of GDC Paloura, Dr. Kulvinder Kour. She welcomed the guests of the programme - Dr. Monika Sharma, Dean Faculty of Arts, School of Humanities and Liberal Arts, Cluster University of Jammu & Dr. Reena Salaria, HOD, Department of English, Cluster University of Jammu.
In her address, Dr. Monika Sharma emphasized on the organisation of such programmes where students are provided with an opportunity to interact with other institutions of learning for a wider exposure. Prof. Geetanjali Multani briefed about the internship programme where students learned the translation techniques and also the role of regional language in conveying their ideas & thoughts. Dr. Reena Salaria highlighted the importance of preservation of many languages that are at the verge of extinction. Students of GDC Paloura interacted and also shared their views and experience regarding the internship programme they had attended at School of Humanities and Liberal Arts, Cluster University of Jammu. Dr. Kulvinder Kour, Principal of the college lauded the effort of the faculty and students for completion of the programme. The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates to the students.
