UDHAMPUR, Nov 18: Government Degree College (GDC) Udhampur held a felicitation ceremony to celebrate the achievements of its students in the Devika Zone "Display Your Talent-2024" competition, hosted at the University of Jammu's Udhampur Campus from 12th to 16th November.
GDC Udhampur students showcased exceptional talent, winning numerous accolades across various categories. Notable achievements included:
Elocution: Koushal (1st Prize) and Baljit (2nd Prize).
Light Vocal Solo: Laksh (1st Prize) and Zaif-Ud-Din (3rd Prize).
Photography: Shivansh (1st Prize).
Quiz: Adityansh, Arun, and Nawaz (1st Prize).
Debate: Aryana and Amanpreet (1st Prize).
Cartooning: Rahul (1st Prize).
Western Vocal Solo: Diksha and Mohit (2nd Prize).
Group Events: Students secured prizes in Mimicry, Mehendi, Skit, Indian Group Song, and Group Dance.
Principal Dr. Sanjay Kumar Verma commended the students for their dedication and stellar performances. "Winning or losing doesn't matter; participation and determination are what truly count," he said, assuring continued support for future cultural endeavors.
Dr. Revika Arora, convenor of the cultural committee, applauded the students and staff for their dedication in making the event a success. The ceremony reinforced the college's commitment to nurturing talent and promoting excellence in co-curricular activities.
