GCW Udhampur hosts Quiz Competition

UDHAMPUR, Nov 18: The Department of Urdu at Government College for Women (GCW), Udhampur, organized an engaging intra-departmental quiz competition on the theme "Allama Iqbal Fiker-O-Fun" at the college campus today.
The event was held under the guidance of Principal Prof. (Dr.) Nalini Pathania. Dr. Mool Raj, Head of the Urdu Department, welcomed participants and highlighted the purpose of the quiz, which aimed to inspire students to connect theoretical learning with practical understanding.
Event Highlights:
Four teams of five members each participated in the three-round competition, featuring objective questions, a buzzer round, and a rapid-fire round.
Team B, consisting of Sakshi Thakur, Shabnam Akhter, Sakina Akhter, Asifa Bibi, and Zaidya Begum, emerged as winners.
Team A and Team D secured the second and third positions, respectively.
The students displayed exceptional knowledge and confidence throughout the quiz, making it an informative and enriching experience for both participants and the audience.
Dr. Sareer Ahmad Bhat conducted the event proceedings, and the program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Mushtaq Ahmed.
The event witnessed the presence of faculty members, including Dr. Neha Gupta, Dr. Om Parkash, Prof. Meenakshi Jamwal, and many others, along with a large gathering of enthusiastic students.
