Murder case solved by Udhampur police

UDHAMPUR, Nov 18: Udhampur Police solved a murder case within 12 hrs in which a women from Kiya, Ramnagar was murdered by her son-in-law after an altercation between both of them.
On this a case FIR No. 111/2024 U/S 103/109/331(6) BNS was registered in Police Station Ramnagar and investigation started.
It is pertinent to mention that one Shanti Devi W/O Shonku Ram R/O Kiya Tehsil Ramnagar was attacked with sharp edged weapon (Axe) by her son-in-law namely Suresh Kumar S/O Krishan Kumar R/O Kiya Ramnagar at her home in the late hours of 17th Nov. 2024 . The accused Brutally murdered his mother-in-law (Shanti Devi) and inflicted serious injuries on his wife (Lalita Devi) and sister-in law (Anju Devi) and fled away from the scene of crime.
After receiving the information police rushed to the spot along with FSL teams. They took the dead body in their custody, and shifted the injured to the hospital.
During investigation Police team of P/S Ramnagar led by SHO PS Ramnagar under the supervision of SDPO Ramnagar acting swiftly carried out rigorous searches in Ramnagar and adjoining areas and arrested the accused involved in this crime.
Further investigation in the case is going on.
