JAMMU, Nov 18: In a significant move towards enhancing local infrastructure and addressing civic issues, Sham Lal Sharma, MLA Jammu North and Former Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, laid the foundation stones for two crucial development projects in Lane No. 7, Anand Nagar, and Lane No. 5, Saraswati Vihar, located in Ward No. 61. These projects, which focus on the construction of lanes and drains, are aimed at improving connectivity and resolving the persistent problem of waterlogging in the area.
During the foundation-laying ceremony, Sharma emphasized the critical role of grassroots infrastructure in improving the quality of life for residents. "The construction of lanes and drains may seem basic, but it is a vital step in the overall development of any region," he remarked. "These projects will address longstanding issues such as poor drainage and connectivity, contributing to a cleaner and healthier environment for the residents."
He further praised the progress made under the BJP-led government, saying, "Development has been at the forefront of our agenda. The swift execution of numerous infrastructure projects is a clear reflection of our commitment to the people. Our goal is to transform Jammu and Kashmir into a model region of growth and prosperity."
Acknowledging the support of the local community, Sharma added, "The cooperation and trust of the people have always been our greatest strength. Together, we can overcome challenges and create a brighter future. I encourage everyone to continue supporting these developmental initiatives for the betterment of society."
The ceremony saw enthusiastic participation from local residents, who expressed their gratitude for the upcoming projects. The event was also attended by several prominent personalities, including Ex-Corporator Mohinder Kumar, Vice President BJP KDD Chetan Wanchoo, AEE Raman Kapahi, JE JMC Rakesh Kumar, Ramesh Rakwal, Rajesh Mantoo, Naresh Kumar, Virender Magu, S.K.
