JAMMU, Dec 14: Delhi Public School Nagbani, Jammu successfully hosted an enriching capacity building programme on "Art Integration" today aimed at empowering educators with innovative teaching methods that blend arts with academics. The event saw enthusiastic participation from teachers across various CBSE schools in the region, providing them with new perspectives on fostering creativity and holistic development in students. RK Verma, Principal DPS Nagbani warmly welcomed the esteemed resource persons Rashami Ahluwalia-Director/Principal, Montessori Cambridge School, Pathankot and Dr. Atul Hans- Principal, IDRS School, Jammu as key speakers of the day. The Principal of the school presented potted plants to both of them symbolizing growth, sustainability and the nurturing of creativity in young minds. The event officially commenced with an enchanting welcome song, performed by the school's talented choir. The workshop covered a wide range of topics related to integrating art into various subjects, with hands-on activities and discussions led by experts in the field. Participants engaged in brainstorming sessions and shared best practices to explore how art can be seamlessly woven into curriculum delivery, thereby enhancing student engagement and fostering critical thinking skills. Both of them have made significant contributions in the field of education, particularly in promoting creative and artistic learning. Their insights and expertise added tremendous value to the sessions, inspiring the educators in attendance. Verma expressed his gratitude to the distinguished guests and participants for making the event a success. He emphasized the importance of art in education as a tool for developing well-rounded individuals capable of thinking outside the box. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Bhawna Madaan, Headmistress of the school recognizing the valuable contributions of the speakers and participants.
